Fillmore Tribute featuring The Frenz rhythm section:
Kenny Lee Lewis has assembled a tight, talented and available band called The Frenz who are the core of the Fillmore Tribute Show. All living locally on the Central Coast of California, they have been performing together for over a decade and rehearse and conveniently travel together from the same local airport. They have backed celebrity special guests for the Fillmore Tribute numerous times and are total pros with their own bands and projects around the Golden State. For most fly dates these are the musicians featured with the Fillmore Tribute and any special celebrity guests added to the show would be backed by them.
Band Members:
Kenny Lee Lewis – guitar, vocals
A current band member/singer/songwriter/producer with The Steve Miller Band since 1982. The Steve Miller Band has played the Fillmore more than 120 times and was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2016. Kenny co-wrote three songs on the 1982 SMB triple platinum album “Abracadabra” including the 2nd single “Cool Magic.” Kenny played the new re-opened Fillmore West and Fillmore East with the SMB several times in the early 90s. In 2023, the SMB opened for the Eagles, and in 2024 they did a triple bill stadium tour together with Journey and Def Leppard. Kenny hatched the idea of doing A Tribute to The Fillmore while doing some live stream concerts with his band, The FrenZ, during COVID. Since then he has been refining this tribute to honor “concert impresario” and visionary Bill Graham, a concert promoter like no other, whose concept — during San Francisco’s Golden Era of Classic Rock — was to bring many different types of musical entertainment under one roof. The experience was festooned with ultraviolet chandeliers and a light show which changed the way concertgoers experienced live music. A Tribute to The Fillmore brings these great memories back to life with songs by all the great artists who played there, and features different special guests on every show.
Lauri Reimer – vocals, percussion
Lauri Reimer is a talented LA-based singer, percussionist, songwriter, acoustic guitarist, and background vocalist known for her dynamic performances with bands including The Tribe, Doctor Wu, Corcovado, and The Painkillers, as well as numerous other acts across the Southland music scene.
Bob Santa Cruz – bass, vocals
Bob Santa Cruz is a seasoned Central Coast musician, singer, songwriter, and bandleader known for his powerful bass playing and versatile vocals across rock, blues, and classic cover sets.
With over 40 years of professional experience, he began his career in California’s San Joaquin Valley, where he played early on with a young Steve Perry (later of Journey), before establishing himself as a fixture on the Central Coast music scene since moving there around 2000.
Wyatt Lund – drums
Wyatt Lund is a versatile Central Coast California drummer and longtime music instructor known for his solid groove and wide-ranging style across rock, blues, Americana, and original projects.
A professional player for over 15 years (and teaching drums for more than 20), he has performed and recorded with numerous local favorites including Truth About Seafood, Siko, Too Late For Roses, Jolon Station Band, and The FrenZ..
Marty Townsend – guitar, vocals
Marty Townsend is a highly regarded Central Coast California guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter known for his expressive playing, strong vocals, and intricate dual-guitar harmonies in classic rock and original projects.
An internationally known musician and music instructor, he began his career in California’s San Joaquin Valley, performing with country artists at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace, before moving to Europe where he toured, recorded, and produced with numerous artists—including the gold-record band Blu Blot—while establishing himself as a successful composer.
Cliff Brockett – keyboards, vocals
Cliff Brockett is a talented Central Coast California keyboardist and vocalist known for his soulful playing and strong harmonies in classic rock, blues, and cover band settings.
A seasoned musician who began his career in California’s San Joaquin Valley, he performed with numerous groups early on, including the Bob Santa Cruz Band, before becoming a longtime fixture on the Central Coast scene.

Scott Page – sax
Scott Paige is a renowned American saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his dynamic saxophone and rhythm guitar contributions to iconic rock tours and recordings with Pink Floyd (notably the A Momentary Lapse of Reason era), Supertramp, and Toto.
A versatile performer with roots in R&B and progressive rock, he has also collaborated with artists like Diana Ross and continues to play live shows while exploring the intersection of music and technology.
Jimmy Z – sax, harmonica, vocals
Jimmy Z (Jimmy Zavala) is a world-class saxophonist, harmonica player, and vocalist renowned for his fiery blues-infused style and soulful improvisations on both instruments.
A veteran of the LA music scene, he has recorded and toured extensively with major artists including Etta James, Eurythmics (Dave Stewart), Rod Stewart, Tom Petty, Ringo Starr, and Dr. Dre, while also releasing four solo albums and contributing to film soundtracks and commercials.
Carl Verheyen – guitar, vocals
Carl Verheyen is a world-renowned American guitarist, vocalist, composer, and educator best known as the longtime lead guitarist for the multi-platinum rock band Supertramp (since 1985), where he has delivered masterful performances to millions of fans worldwide.
A highly respected Los Angeles session player and virtuoso capable of blending rock, jazz fusion, blues, and country with technical brilliance, he leads his own Carl Verheyen Band, has released numerous solo albums, and has performed with an array of top artists while earning international acclaim as “the guitar player’s guitar player.”
Diane Steinberg-Lewis – singer
Diane Steinberg-Lewis is a versatile singer, songwriter, pianist, producer, and arranger with a rich career spanning pop, rock, and gospel music. She’s had 3 record deals as a singer/songwriter/pianist/artist.
Diane earned early recognition with three record deals as a solo artist, notably portraying “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” opposite Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees in the 1978 film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and has written songs for artists including Natalie Cole and Cleo Laine.
Deb Ryder – singer
Deb Ryder is a powerhouse American blues, soul, and Americana singer and songwriter celebrated for her gritty, soulful vocals and emotionally charged performances.
Born in the Chicago area (Peoria/Chicago influences), she began singing as a child with her father, crooner Al Swanson, and honed her craft as a teenager at her stepfather’s legendary Topanga Corral rock and blues club in California, where she opened for and was mentored by icons like Etta James, Big Joe Turner, Taj Mahal, and Canned Heat.
Tamara Champlin – singer
Tamara Champlin is a singer/songwriter/artist and wife of artist Bill Champlin. She’s known for her powerful rock, Americana, and country vocals, beginning her career as a session singer and dancer in the iconic 1980 film Urban Cowboy.
She has collaborated with artists like Elton John, Rita Coolidge, and her husband Bill Champlin, contributed to film soundtracks, and released her own music while earning acclaim for her songwriting..
Keith England – singer
Keith England is a dynamic rock and soul vocalist best known for his powerful performances as a touring singer with The Allman Brothers Band.
A seasoned Los Angeles-based artist, he has shared the stage and recorded with legends including Spinal Tap bassist Derek Smalls, and his distinctive voice has been featured in major films such as Moulin Rouge and The Rocker, as well as numerous television shows and commercials.
Kenny Aronoff – drums
Kenny Aronoff is a world-renowned American drummer, widely regarded as one of the most influential and in-demand session and touring drummers of his generation, with a powerful yet precise style that blends raw energy and finesse.
Born in 1953, he rose to prominence with 17 years as the drummer for John Mellencamp (powering hits like “Jack & Diane”), and has since performed and recorded with an extraordinary list of legends including John Fogerty, Bob Seger, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Santana, Melissa Etheridge, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, and many more—contributing to over 300 million records sold and more than 60 Grammy-nominated projects.
Tony Pia – drums
Tony Pia is a powerhouse American drummer known for his versatile, high-energy playing that spans rock, big band, jazz, and swing.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he was deeply influenced by the city’s rich musical heritage. He has built an impressive career touring and recording with major acts including The Doobie Brothers, Pat Benatar, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Edgar Winter, Maynard Ferguson, David Lee Roth, and many others — from opening stadium tours with P!nk to big-band swing and classic rock.
Don Randi – keyboards
Los Angeles legend and original member of The Wrecking Crew, studio musician legacy and owner/founder of the world-famous Baked Potato in Studio City. Pianist, arranger, composer, bandleader for Don Randi & Quest, music director for Nancy Sinatra. Played on over 300 hit records including Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” The Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” & “Help Me Rhonda,” and songs by Linda Ronstadt, Quincy Jones, Cannonball Adderley, Herb Alpert, Sarah Vaughan & Frank Zappa.
John “JT” Thomas – keyboards
John “JT” Thomas is a masterful American keyboardist, organist, and longtime touring musician celebrated for his soulful, eclectic playing and deep command of the Hammond organ.
He first gained attention as a member of Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band in the Mojave Desert, later served as keyboard tech for Don Henley, and has built an impressive career touring and recording for over 35 years with Bruce Hornsby (as his primary keyboardist), as well as with Albert Lee, Rita Coolidge, and many others.
Larry Antonino – bass, vocals
Larry Antonino is a highly accomplished bassist, vocalist, songwriter, composer, producer, and recording engineer known for his innovative, funky, and melodic bass lines that blend rock, pop, yacht rock, and jazz influences.
A native of Santa Cruz, California, he has toured and recorded extensively with major acts including Pablo Cruise, Air Supply, Ronnie Laws, The Jazz Crusaders, and others, while also contributing to film and television projects (such as That Thing You Do!).
Bill Champlin – vocals, guitar
We were very honored to have Grammy-winning songwriter, singer, guitarist & keyboard player Bill Champlin on several of our earlier shows.
Bill played the Fillmore over 100 times with his band, The Sons of Champlin and was a member of the band Chicago for 28 years. He’s written/co-written several Top Ten Grammy-winning singles including, “After the Love Has Gone” (with Jay Graydon & David Foster) and “Turn Your Love Around” (with Jay Graydon & Steve Lukather).
Steve Ferrone – drums
Steve Ferrone, 75, is an English drummer.
He was a member of the rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers from 1994 to 2017, replacing original drummer Stan Lynch, and was part of the “classic lineup” of the Average White Band in the 1970s.
Ferrone has recorded and performed with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, George Harrison, Duran Duran, Stevie Nicks, Laura Pausini, Christine McVie, Rick James, Slash, Chaka Khan, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Howard Jones, Aerosmith, Al Jarreau, Mick Jagger, Johnny Cash, Todd Rundgren and Pat Metheny.
